Austin, TX - BeatStars, the world’s #1 marketplace for buying and selling beats, today announced a partnership with software developer Resonant Cavity, creators of the popular mobile studio and vocal effects app Voloco. The partnership promises to deliver game-changing, seamless integrations between the two platforms, enhancing accessibility, creativity and productivity for musicians across all skill levels and genres. The initial feature integration between the two best-of-breed platforms will begin rolling out in January 2024.

“Our mission is to empower creators in every way possible – integrating with Voloco will bring our community closer to a totally accessible, one-stop ecosystem for trying out beats and encouraging collaboration,” said Abe Batshon, founder and CEO of BeatStars. “We’re thrilled to partner with the talented team at Resonant Cavity to bring mobile convenience, innovation and inspiration to our community.”

With over 67 million downloads, and over 500,000 beats played each day, the Voloco app has become an essential tool and viral sensation among musicians, songwriters and vocalists around the globe. The integration and interoperability between the BeatStars marketplace and the Voloco app will bring enormous opportunities to try out beats, share ideas with friends, collaborate with other creators, capture inspiration in the moment, and produce instant viral hits – all from the creator’s mobile device.

"Our collaboration with BeatStars will bring the best beat catalog into the most powerful mobile recording studio," shared Patrick Flanagan, CEO and Founder of Resonant Cavity. "As artists experience studio-quality vocals from Voloco over top-tier beats from BeatStars producers, they’re going to be inspired to create something exceptional.”

Announcements containing further details of the integration rollout will be forthcoming.

BeatStars, the world’s #1 marketplace for buying and selling beats, today debuted a wave of exciting new membership     features to help an even greater number of music creators around the world achieve success. As part of the new benefit-rich subscription plans, BeatStars is unveiling Seeds by Lemonaide, a breakthrough ethical AI that helps creators generate initial ideas, or plant seeds, for their tracks.

The growing BeatStars community will benefit from an 80% price reduction for the Starter subscription plan, formerly called Marketplace, now at just $19.99 annually, providing members with unlimited track uploads and the ability to join Beatstars Publishing at no additional cost. In support of over 10 million creators spanning every country in the world, BeatStars’ new low annual fee opens the door of opportunity to even more people hoping to earn a living as music creators at a price point that is accessible across more markets.  Existing Marketplace members will receive prorated credits, so current subscribers will also enjoy significant savings.

The new Professional plan, formerly known as Pro Page, retains the popular customizable webstore feature along with no-cost Publishing services. Providing even more value for creators to help them succeed, the new Professional plan includes three free BeatID scans per month, discounts and credits for BeatStars’ popular Promote feature, and exclusive access to a selection of free PROkits, an incredible value featuring popular sound kits from top BeatStars producers.

As a result of the recent strategic alliance between BeatStars and Lemonaide, Starter and Professional subscribers can access AI to help generate ideas and spark inspiration. Developed by Lemonaide co-founders Michael “MJ” Jacob – a rapper and former senior machine learning engineer at Google, and Anirudh Mani, a music producer and former machine learning scientist for Alexa at Amazon – Seeds by Lemonaide helps BeatStars creators push through creative slumps with its ground-breaking ethical AI that generates short melodies and chord progressions as a starting point for creating tracks.

Seeds by Lemonaide establishes a new standard, taking an ethical approach to AI training through a voluntary community of producers who are compensated for sharing their work and their feedback. BeatStars and Lemonaide are unified in their long-term commitment to only developing AI that is ethically sourced, and built solely to empower and support the creator community.

“We’ve taken significant steps to make our platform even more accessible and benefit-driven for the global community of creators and aspiring entrepreneurs,” said Abe Batshon, founder and CEO of BeatStars. “Everything we’re doing is geared toward helping a greater number of creators in every region of the world achieve their dreams, which has always been my goal and the mission of this company.”

BeatStars, the global leader in beat buying and selling, has entered a strategic alliance with AI music startup Lemonaide to support creators with ethical AI tools designed for creative inspiration. Rooted in a shared commitment to empower creators and their craft, the two artist-centric companies join forces on a mission to set the ethical standard for the music industry's adoption of artificial intelligence.

BeatStars Founder and CEO Abe Batshon and Lemonaide Co-Founder and CEO Michael “MJ” Jacob were artists long before launching their respective music tech companies. By embracing AI early on, they aim to establish a precedent for ethical AI business models in the music industry–creating tools to empower and inspire while partnering openly with the creator community to evolve AI tools the right way.

One of the key differentiators of this partnership is the commitment by both companies to only use ethically-sourced AI that empowers artists. Lemonaide’s ‘homegrown” AI was created by musicians for musicians to help music producers find new ways to write, produce, and create. Intentionally designed to inspire rather than generate complete works, Lemonaide purposefully generates short musical ideas to spark inspiration, push creative boundaries, and pull artists out of their creative slump. Lemonaide’s AI is trained exclusively on voluntarily contributed data from producers. This approach ensures that creators are actively involved in the training process and are appropriately compensated for their contributions.

“MJ built Lemonaide from the ground up with the right intentions in mind – not to replace producers and artists, but to inspire them,” says BeatStars CEO and Founder Abe Batshon. “The Lemonaide team shares our commitment to protecting creators and equipping them with the tools they need to make great music.”

“Having started my music career as a BeatStars member, this really feels like a full-circle moment,” says Michael Jacob, CEO and Founder of Lemonaide. “I’m looking forward to seeing the creativity sparked among the community as a result of our partnership with BeatStars.”

"We are thrilled to partner with Lemonaide, a true pioneer in the field of AI music," says Sean Gorman, BeatStars Chief Operating Officer. "Together, we aim to provide creators with powerful tools that respect their creative vision and support their artistic journey. By incorporating ethical AI practices from the outset, we can revolutionize the way artists work with AI and create a positive impact in the music industry."
